What to Do If Suspicious Traffic Doesn’t Stop

28.05.2025 27

If suspicious traffic continues even after blocking IPs, that’s a red flag. Fraudsters may rotate IPs, change devices, or use VPNs to keep attacking your ads.

Signs of persistent fraud traffic:

  • traffic spikes again shortly after blocking;
  • same indicators (very short sessions, 95%+ bounce rate);
  • many clicks, zero conversions;
  • same region but varying IPs and user-agents.

What to do:

  1. Enable automated protection (AntiClick):
    It will block recurring fraud patterns in real-time.
  2. Tighten geo or language targeting:
    If one region is problematic, pause ads there temporarily.
  3. Activate AntiClick API for automatic exclusions:
    Suspicious IPs go to Google Ads without manual work.
  4. Apply frequency capping:
    Limit how often your ad is shown to the same user.
  5. Review your ad content:
    Fraud may be triggered by competitive keywords or sensitive topics.
