Google Analytics is great for basic traffic insights, but it’s not built to fight click fraud. If you rely on it alone, you’ll miss key signs of bot activity and budget waste.
What Google Analytics can’t detect:
- user’s real IP (especially via proxy/VPN);
- fraud patterns like automated or repeat clicks;
- deep anomalies in user-agent, language, or referral source;
- cyclic visits from the same devices.
Consequences:
- click fraud goes unnoticed;
- campaigns are optimized based on false data;
- no blocking is done because fraud isn’t detected.
What to do:
- Use Google Analytics for general traffic overview.
- Add AntiClick for specialized fraud detection.
- Compare results: real engagement vs. patterns.
- Block fake traffic before it skews your data.
