What Are VPN Clickers and How They Bypass Ad Filters

One of the most advanced forms of ad fraud is VPN clickers. These are bots or programs that use VPNs to fake each click as coming from a new user, IP address, or country.

How they work:

  • Every click is followed by a new IP rotation.
  • Browser data (user-agent) is spoofed.
  • They appear like real users.
  • Use proxy chains and mobile headers.
  • Can run on loops, massively and repeatedly.

Why it’s dangerous:

  • Google Ads often doesn’t detect this as fraud.
  • You pay for every “unique” click.
  • Your conversions drop while costs rise.
  • Your data becomes unreliable.

How to fight it:

  • Use AntiClick, which monitors full behavioral patterns, not just IPs.
  • Watch for low-interaction sessions from unexpected countries.
  • Auto-block IPs even if they change frequently.
